BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse
Category: Restaurants
Their gluten free pizza is good. Not the best I've had but very close. It really depends on what toppings you put on it. But the real reason to go here is the gluten free pizookie!! A large gluten free chocolate chip cookie with scoops of vanilla bean ice cream on top. So good. Also enjoy the pear cider!

The last time I went to this restaurant my gluten free pizza tasted AWFUL. I love that they offer one BUT I found Pie Five that makes gluten free pizza and it by far is so much better. My last experience at BJs was just disappointing and not a good experience. It used to be one of the only places my family and I could eat out at, but there are so many better choices now. BJs needs to step it up they were great in the beginning when no one else was on the "gluten free" but now the competition makes them pale in comparison.
I have been here twice and the GF pizza is amazing. Best pizza I've had in a long while. For dessert they do a gluten free choc-chip cookie with GF ice cream on top. Ask for a GF menu and the staff will give u the allergen info which spells everything out.

Experienced my worst gfree experience at this restaurant. My salad was initially made with the gluten corn chips and thankfully the manager caught this and had it supposedly redone. I was given the Gfree cookie for free due to their mistake. I honestly am not sure it was the gfree Pazookie - as I walked out of BJs with a huge canker sore and days/weeks of many more symptoms. I now don't want to do desserts where they have a gfree version and a glutened version as I am sure it is very easy to get them mixed up. Don't know if it was my salad or the cookie, but my reaction was not good. This was my first experience Itruly learned: Just because there is a gluten free menu doesn't mean it is gluten free.

The staff was so accommodating! The waitress and the manager were super friendly and knowledgeable. The manager came to my table to speak with me about the gluten-free menu. Then she told me she would be going back to the kitchen to watch the cooks prepare my meal to be sure nothing would be cross-contaminated. Wow! Then, the pizza was so delicious--more flavorful than wheat thin-crusts I've tasted. The pizzookie was an extra nice treat and tasted so good, my husband and I were playfully fighting for the last bite. I will definitely come back! One suggestion is to call ahead, since the wait is very long.

To say the service was slow would be an understatement. It was just plain bad. I was the only GF in our party of seven (four of whom were children). My mother's grilled cheese and baked potato were cold but it took so long to get the food that she didn't want them to redo it for fear we'd be there all night. The waiter screwed one of the kid's sides up and insisted that it was what she asked for - I was sitting right next to her and knew it wasn't - although he did have the correct side brought out.
My GF pizza was very good. Unfortunately, everyone else's meals were mediocre at best.

I've been to the BJ's on Blossom Hill Road multiple times and it never fails to be amazing! My boyfriend has celiac while I can eat wheat, however, the pizza here is fantastic. I order it instead of the wheat pizza every time. The crust is thin and perfectly flaky. I usually get the Wyder's Pear Cider which is also GF although my bf prefers the Red Bridge gf beer. Go here! You won't regret it!!

Great pizza! Want to try the beer but I was there for lunch-not right time. Would like to try other items but only saw pizza, beer and the GF cookie. Someone came out from kitchen to verify gluten free choice and the toppings. Will return.

best combination of G.F. food I've had in a restaurant so far.
the gluten free piza thin crust was so good my son had a slice. and he hates any gluten free food. the gluten free beer was the red something brand that is pretty lame but the gluten free bazookie was pretty darn good. overall a great experience.

They were so nice and careful about putting my order on different colored plates. Not everyone is knowledgeable but are more than happy to put in the extra effort to ensure the safety of your dish. My pizza was great and the new gf pazookies are heavenly. There isn't much sauce on the pizza(probably to keep the crust from falling apart) so if you like a lot of sauce just as for a side of marinera. It's about as close to normal you could get.

BJ's is awesome. I was visiting my brother and found this restaurant on the GFR. Ratings were good so we decided to give it a try. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. We actually ate there twice while in El Paso, once I had the baked potato (to which they added bacon at no extra charge) and the GF Pizza with ham and bacon. The manager came out once he found out I was gluten intolerant and talked to us before and after the meal. Food handling must have been excellent as well since I had no episode at all.
The staff is clueless. After specifically checking to make sure the food was gf, they served us rice mixed w orzo pasta, then still charged us full price after we complained.

I also ate the GF pizza at BJ's and it was NOT gluten free. I am frustrated and angry. DO NOT EAT THEIR GF PIZZA - NOT GF!!!! You will be miserable!! Staff was not knowledgeable. I will never eat there again. I feel like I was violated and poisoned by idiots. BEWARE!!
Gluten free is NOT gluten fee at this restaurant.
My wife has a serious reaction to ANY gluten. We went to BJ's because it was on Urbanspoons gluten free. Although there are gluten free items listed on the back side of a special brochure called " Food and Allergen Sensitivies Menu and Gluten-Free Selections" don't believe it.
First, when asking the waitress if they had a Gluten, Free menu, the lady had to check with other staff. After we received the menu, every question that was asked about the gluten menu was met with and "I don't know, I will have to check with someone" We were very specific when we ordered that my wifes meal needed to be 100% gluten free They needed to make sure that the gill where her food was cooked, needed to be cleaned first to make sure she did not receive any gluten contamination.
My wife could tell later that night and the next day that they had in fact, given her gluten.
If you are going to claim gluten free, then do it. Don't Print a nice menu and not follow it. Next TRAIN YOUR STAFF. This waitress was either absent at your training session or you don't train your staff.
We will never go back to BJ's and do not recommend anyone with a gluten intolerance to go there

Absolutely awesome! My boss is two states away from me. Whenever he comes into town he likes to take me out to eat. I had just found BJ's on the GF Registry and my boss said it sounded good. We went during the busy dinner hour and they were wonderful. The manager came by to see how I liked the pizza (which was terrific, better than Chicago Uno's). I was impressed by the number of topping choice and can't wait to go back and try some of the other meals (as well as the pizza again!).

This refers the the Citrus Park (Tampa) FL location. Ordered the GF pizza crust. The pizza came out under cooked. The cheese was barely melted and they placed raw tomatoes on top after it came out of their oven. It was sent back. Our waitress said that is how they always make their GF pizzas. Never ordering GF pizza from BJs Brewhouse again.

I have eaten here several times, and the gluten free thin crust pizza is absolutely delicious! The gluten free beer is also pretty good. The reason I only gave 4 stars rather than 5 is because once they accidentally made my pizza with a regular crust, and if I hadn't known that the gluten-free crust looks different and is served on a different plate I would've been extremely sick. They were not very apologetic, and offered no compensation either.

Best GF pizza in town! I have tried Satchel's also which is ok. But I much prefer BJ's pizza. Plus you can get a Redbridge beer with it!

I went for lunch(12:45) w/the fam on Saturday. They were pretty busy. The manager came by our table so I could ask how they worked w/the GF pizza, he told me they change gloves, utensils and everything. It was very good!! My server was wonderful!! She made sure everything was right and even told us that they are working on new menu items all the time b/c of the demand. I'm very sensitive and I had no problems @ all. My family eats out a lot (w/very limited selection) and BJ's has been one of the best places we've eaten in a long time. I really can't wait to go back!!
