Hands down, this is the best GF Chicago style deep dish pizza I have ever had!! Steve makes a deelicious, crunchy on the outside crust, chewy on the inside crust, with a most flavorful sauce pizza evvvvverrrrr! I mean it! It is great! And one of these is plenty for two people with several pieces left over for later (which is super fine with me)! They are extremely careful while making the pizza, as they do serve regular gluten filled pizza, and wipe down everything and use gloves, etc. It takes a bit longer for our pizzas as they are handmade and careful with everything, but it is SO worth it! The WOW bakery, adjoining the pizza parlor, is totally gluten free and they offer an extensive sandwich menu, french fries, onion rings and fried pickles, even. They also offer cookies, cupcakes, special order cakes, breads, etc. Can't praise them enough for the wonderful food!

I usually don't bother submitting reviews, but this place is great! Amazing pizza, but also an amazing gluten free deli selection. With a recent Celiac diagnosis, I felt completely safe eating here and not deprived while on my gluten free diet. Plus, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Will be back!

I was visiting from out of state with my son, who is on a gluten free diet for autism. My friend found WOW, and WOW! It was great! My son had an 8" pizza made with GF pepperoni and mushrooms and loved it.
The owner and staff were very kind and knowledgeable about GF. We had a great time. Wish they were in in Pennsylvania!

Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Just finished one of their specialty pizzas and the crust is delicious! Their pasta salad is delicious too. Lots of great deli meat sold by the pound. Big selection to make you feel like you aren't missing anything. I love it!

We first ventured out here for my Celiac daughter's 5th birthday in March & were amazed to discover the best GF pizza EVER! We made the hour drive again yesterday & were even more impressed with the aditional menu items. We're talking deep dish pizza people! Steve was very helpful, knowledgeable, & reassuring, taking time to go the extra measures regarding safety. With a nut-free child as well, we are very limited in where we can dine and are extremely excited that this is a dedicated nut-free facility as well! Everything we tried tasted amazing; my picky two-year-old even ate salad for the first time. Instead of looking at the long drive with dread, we are now thankful that the best GF pizza place is only an hour away & eagerly look forward to our next visit very soon. We can't wait until the deli/bakery addition is complete in a couple weeks! As my daughter remarked during our meal, "Mom, this is the best restaurant ever, isn't it?" For our gluten-free & nut-free family, it most certainly is.

Visiting family from out of town, we were excited to find Guido's to enjoy a rare family meal out. We ordered pizza and cheese bread and can say, hands down, it was the best pizza we have had! We have tried gluten free pizza in quite a few states as well as every gluten free pizza sold in stores. Nothing compares to Guido's! I spent much of July in Italy and ate pizza at three restaurants roundly celebrated as among the best in the world for gluten-free pizza for people with celiac disease. They were good, but the pizza at Guido's is better. (it's Guido's, nor Sir Pizza) Not even close. You wouldn't know it was gluten-free in a blind taste test. The owner experimented for 8 months to come up with the perfect blend of flours for the crust, and now he's getting noticed by world travelers

I actually live in Farmington Hills, and we are lucky to have a few places in Southeast MI that offer decent GF pizza-Cottage Inn & Buddy's. However, the only GF pizza I've had in the years since I was diagnosed that actually tastes like "REAL" pizza, is at Guido's. Back in February, I was told I was gluten-intolerant. My diet, had to change dramatically. No easy task for someone who is already a vegetarian. Since then, I have been craving pizza. Where I love, no one offers gluten-free pizza or pasta options. While in Michigan, I was thrilled to find Guido's. Steve was so careful with how he not only prepared, but served, the food made there. In addition, he took me for a grand tour of the deli he's opening right next to the pizza place. Completely gluten-free kitchen and all. I got to see the homemade breads, where they'd be cooking burgers, fries, soups, etc. And then...for the first time in months, I enjoyed a delicious pizza and garlic bread sticks. The food was incredible. The special care it was made with was appreciated. And I can't wait to get back to Michigan and check out the new deli as well as have some more pizza. Gluten-free never tasted so good. Steve and the Guido's crew are doing it right. Now if only I lived there...

Our daughter who is gluten intolerant has been craving a good slice of pizza and bread sticks for a long time. Tonight the whole family enjoyed a wonderful GF meal at Guidos. I heard great things about their G-Free food and wanted to try it out. I went in to eat at noon this past Friday and the said that they didn't have g-free items until 4:00. She said I should call ahead to see if it is available. Well for starters, I live a good distance away (3 hours) and why would you offer something that is only available at certain times! I don't know if I will go back, knowing I need to call ahead of time to see if they have g-free items available. Very disappointed!

Just came back from southern CA where I tried several gluten free pizzas. Guido's (Steve's) is still the best by far. Only problem is that it's so good I eat too much of it! I live in MN but was traveling to MI - did some research ahead of time to find a place where I could meet a friend who is not gluten intolerant. Really enjoyed talking to the owner, and discussing his journey in developing a great GF crust, and how he works to prevent cross-contamination. The vegetarian pizza was excellent, and I would never have guessed it was a GF crust. Really appreciated being able to have a normal tasting pizza.

Tasted like regular pizza crust...not a typical find among GF and especially egg,dairy and soy free.Steve the owner was greta in making me a special crust that had no dairy,soy or eggs. The cheese i had was a special non-dairy/soy cheese he gets from canada.I would recommend ordering it with not too much cheese as it is very overpowering/rich. I recomend this place to everyone! They offer GF subs,pasta,salads and breadsticks as well. You can tell he really knows what he is doing and uses only the top ingredients/products. He is also very dedicated to maintaining the GF food croos-contaminate free:) Which gives any GF person ALOT of piece of mind!

I live in MN, but I'm visiting family in Lansing. I haven't had restaurant pizza in 15 years (since my Celiac's diagnosis). This is the most incredible pizza! Absolutely wonderful! I couldn't stop talking about it. I called my husband in MN as we were pulling out of the parking lot to rave about the pizza. The breadsticks are really good, too. Yum, yum, yum. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. I felt completely safe eating there, even though they have gluten foods, too. They have gluten-free cookies for dessert, but I was too stuffed to try them. All they need is gluten free beer and this place would be heaven!

Best gluten free pizza I have ever had, by a long shot. The texture and taste are great. The gluten free pastas are also quite good. I also trust the owner/gluten-free chef that his product is truly gluten-free. He has been trained and certified, and has made it clear the lenghts he goes to in order to avoid cross-contamination.

This pizza is from heaven. When I used to eat regular pizza I never liked the outer crust. And now when I tried some store bought non-gluten it was horrible. But Guidos crust is so good I actually ate it all. It is the best crust regular or non gluten that I have ever had! I can't rave enough about this stuff! We just tried Guido's GF pizza and motz bread for the first time, and were completely blown away! The server wiped down my plate & utensils, and the owner told us about how he'd developed his GF menu for his mom, who was there enjoying her own pizza as we had ours. I never would have guessed the crust and bread were gluten-free - they were phenomenal. No adverse effects at all. I'm so impressed at the attention to detail and devotion to providing a delicious GF dining experience for those of us who need it. I can see why people come from miles and miles away! We drive from Wixom to enjoy this gluten-free experience...it is always worth the trip! There are 3 celiacs in our family and 3 who are not. It is so nice to be able to share a meal outside of our home, where we ALL can eat. Because we are willing to travel, we have eaten several gluten-free pizzas and without a doubt, vote Steve's THE BEST!!! The detailed attention to kitchen and dining room safety speaks volumes to his dedication to providing the celiac community with a safe and tasty dinner out. Our thanks to him for going out on a limb and taking on the challenge. Many other restauranteurs take the easy way out and choose to walk away from our requests for gluten-free foods. Please don't fault him for any possible gastro. distress...it was most definately caused by some other source, as Steve takes every precaution, probably more than you take in your own kitchen. We need him to be there for us, setting an example for others to follow so that we may have more choices. So get out your GPSs and take a "road trip"! Your taste buds will thank you. (Tip: I order double, and take some home to lengthen the experience! The cheese bread is heavenly!) Keep it coming Steve.

I am relatively new to gluten free. I haven't really eaten out in months due to fear of getting sick. I was craving pizza and finally decided to give this place a try. The pizza (and sauce) was not only delicious but caused me no I'll effects whatsoever, which I don't think has ever happened with a pizza. He wiped everything down, had fresh gloves and explained his precautions. He also told me of this website which I had not heard of. it will come in handy when I have to travel. I'm glad my first foray into gluten free dining in a restaurant was so positive. The bar is set pretty high for others now.

I discovered this place by way of a gluten-free oriented flyer that made its' way to me. The pizza is absolutely fantastic. It is the closest thing to a real pizza I've had in almost a year and I will most certainly be visiting the place regularly. I have sampled several other Gluten Free products from Guidos and each one is just as good. I especially enjoy the Gluten Free Stromboli. This place and it's owner, Steve, have set the bar for Gluten Free food service and I praise as well as thank you.

We went to Guido's for our last dinner while visiting family in Lansing over the holidays and specifically chose it for the gluten-free menu. We were all thrilled with how fabulous everything was, but even more so how enthusiastic and involved Steve is about every pizza or product he makes for his customers. We live in Phx, AZ where there are many restaurants that offer GF menus, including pizza, and Guido's was clearly at the top for everything we tried. We'll definitely be back for more next time we are visiting Lansing.

I am a student at michigan state and am new to the world of celiacs disease and gluten-free living. I found out about Guido's from this website and let me tell you: the ratings are accurate. This pizza is EXCELLENT. It is such a breath of fresh air to walk into a restaurant and have all the workers understand what the term gluten free means. It is one of the few places I can go to and truly feel confident that everything is being done to keep gluten away from my food! And this pizza is so good that EVERYONE should try it, regardless of whether or not they are gluten intolerant!!!!

My daughter brought home Guido's gluten free pizza and I cried it was so good. I hadn't had pizza in three years and had felt so deprived. This is not only great gluten free pizza, but my husband who does not have celiac also agrees that the gluten free pizza is some of the best pizza he has EVER had! The owner was extremely friendly and discussed his cross contamination policies to put us at ease, and they also offer a lot of other fantastic gfree options that are just as good as glutenous food! Excellent food, excellent service, and no worries of cross contamination. We can go out on a date and eat with ease whereas we cannot at any other restaurant! Yum Yum!

Wow! I never thought I'd eat pizza again, well, I never thought I'd enjoy it. It's been three years since my celiac diagnosis and I have tried lots fo different gluten free pizza crusts and pizza's and had given up. I'd heard there was a restaurant in Arizona with gluten free pizza and have been trying to convince my husband we needed to go(for some reason he thinks traveling halfway across the country for pizza is insane). Lo and behold there's gluten free pizza right here in my backyard. It's ecellent! Thank you, Steve! PS, my daughter is vegan and her pizza had the best vegan cheese she's ever had - it actually melted.

I have only been to guidos once, not too long after I was diagnosed with celiac disease. When i was first diagnosed i was devistated that i would never be able to be like any other average teenager enjoying the fun foods of life such as pizza. Finding Guidos gluten free pizza online, and not too far from home was one of the most exciting moments for me. Of course right away i had gave the business a call to find out if what i had read was true, and it was. That same weekend after a long day at the mall me and my mom had stopped in to try out the pizza. in one word amazing. The business was just as incredible as the food. The owner of the business was incredibley kind, explaing how he got involved in making gluten-free foods, and it was inspiring to here his story, and i am grateful for the hard work he puts into making his own pizza crust and dough from scratch. It has been about 4 or 5 months since i have been there but all i would like to say is thank-you so much for all of your hard effort, it is truly people like you who made a difference. Just in case you haven't heard I would also like to announce that betty crocker has now introduced a small line of gluten-free products including: Brownies, chocolate chip cookie mix, yellow cake mix, and devils food cake. Chex mix too has also introduced many new flavors of gluten-free cereal. My favorite would definatley have to be the cinnamon chex it reminds me of the cinnamon toast crunch I used to like! I hope this is helpful and thanks a million again, keep up the good work, because it keeps all the rest of us smiling!

Amazing Pizza! Tastes as good as the real thing, if not better. After 6 months of a GF diet this was the first bite of pizza I had, it brought tears to my eyes. His toppings are amazing and the pizzas are great to freeze and eat later. The pasta he has is also very good. I get a large order to bring home since we're not local. The sandwich bread can get a little hard if you're not careful but again the meat and toppings are excellent. Sometimes the orders take a bit longer, but being careful with his cooking makes me feel better and i'm sure it's just because his pizzas are in high demand. His ice cream cones are delicious and I hope he continues to expand his GF menu!!

My daughter was diagnosed with CD 7 years ago. She is now 12. We have made our own GF pizza and have had GF pizza in places such as Disney World and New York City. My Daughter has rated Guido's pizza as "the best pizza ever". We were very impressed. This was the first pizza she has had that looks like a "regular" pizza. OMG!!! This place is awesome. My mom was just diagnosed with Celiac and we had guest this weekend also with it. By a fluke we had just heard of Guido's. Took our out-of-state guest there, had just run out of dough due to HUGE weekend. Told us we could wait, but he couldn't absolutely guarantee gf, but he would be very careful. Guest was SOOOOOOOOOo looking forward to pizza, so we stayed. She was in heaven when her pizza came. Staff double washed her tablewear, spatula etc. They came out to the table many times to be sure all was well, etc. Owner came out a couple times as well to talk with us. He was very careful with what he was doing and very helpful - not just about the dollar - refreshing. Guest took home leftovers and we froze it so she could take back to PA and have when her family orders pizza in the future. We'll be returning to get her waffle cones to ship down to her too. If they start selling the dough mix, we'll do that for her too. When she left, she said she'd be coming to visit more often just for the pizza because it was the highlight of her trip. Thanks!!!

I have been eating Guidos gluten free pizza and subs for several years. The food is excellent and second to none. HOWEVER, the service is nothing to write home about. Gluten free food takes longer to make because it needs to be completely gluten free. The staff at Guidos gives you the time for your gluten free pizza pick up and it is usually in the range of 30-40 minutes. The past 4 times I have ordered there, I have arrived to pick up my pizza and have waited NO LESS than 1 hr. Not only that, there is a line of people standing at the front counter waiting to speak with someone and order or pick up their food and NO ONE is working the front counter on a regular basis. It is extremely frustrating. I have waited along with other customers for no less than 20 minutes just to see if my pizza is ready. (it rarely is) Again, the taste of their gluten free pizza and subs is the best I have eaten in 10 plus years of having my allergy. But the service is something that keeps me going to other local pizza places to try their gluten free pizza.

BEST GF PIZZA EVER! They are VERY careful about cross contamination, and even advise you NOT to stack the boxes on each other if you purchase a regular (non GF) pizza in order to not cross contaminate.

Hi to everyone I’m responding to a comment left by concerned gf patron. I was just going to let it pass but the more that I think about it I need to respond. First of all I am certified in gf cooking I read food labels all the time. I have switch salad dressings that contain distilled vinegar to white wine or apple cider. I started using sweet baby ray's BBQ.All of my ingredients has been checked by the NFCA to meet their standards. I work in an area that is dedicated to gf cooking ONLY. I do share the ovens. When I started this venture it was only to make gf pizza for my mother. I open about a year ago on a small budget. I hope to save enough in the next year to expand my kitchen so that my gf cooking is done at the place next door. I very much worry about cross contamination I always tell my customers to be very carful when they order gluten and gf pizzas at the same time. It’s very easy to cross contaminate. I tell people when they take boxes home to wash their hands before eating. I wipe the plate’s forks and knifes right in front of them before they eat. I was very hurt after reading this last comment that I considered doing away with gf pizzas, but all of my customers convinced me otherwise. Why this customer felt that she could not talk to me in person I don’t know. I am very attainable. I am very proud of what I have created to date we have sold over 900 gf pizzas and this is the only complaint. She ordered both gluten and gluten free it could be something she touched at the table. I have thought about opening a total gf pizza place but you will have the same problem of when families come to dine in not everyone wants to eat gf. I think the best situation is two kitchens one dinning area. That will be my goal in the next year. By the way I have started to make fresh gf waffle cones with hand dip ice cream. To all my loyal gf customers thank you for your support and I will be seeing you soon thanks Steve.

I stumbled onto the g/f registry Friday and was suspicious of the unanimous 5-smiley-faces ratings. On Saturday, Camping Buddy and I subjected Steve to our on-site investigation, and WOW! The pizza and bread sticks were more than worth the trip from Grand Blanc. This could be a place to introduce a newly diagnosed g/f person to the world of GOOD g/f dining. Our extended family drove up from Rochester to see the Lion King this past Sunday; the oldest nephew is gluten intolerent. I'd heard about Guido's GF pizzas from a flyer, and suggested we try a GF pizza after the play. The pizza was the best I've ever had, and I am not gluten intolerant. Steve explained all he does to make this a safe, healthy experience with respect to cross contamination. The next day we heard the pizza experience was the best part of my nephew's day and he will hopefully have the courage to try places near Rochester that are GF. I can't believe how wonderful this pizza is. I just took my son with celiac here and we ordered 3 gf pizzas for the whole family. Everyone ate gf and could not believe how good it was. In fact I would have to say it is at the top of the list for all pizzas I have ever had gf and gluten. I was concerned about contamination and talked to Steve about it, that is always my test to see if they know what they are doing. Steve has a dedicated area for his gluten free food. His mom has celiac and he completely understands. I did not even scare him when I told him how violently ill my son gets from eating gluten. We took a pizza home to freeze and have later. I highly recommend this place. Steve is dedicated and even recleans the plates for the gf customers so there is no wheat flour or contamination on them. A++++.

Steve cares about food. He is a nice guy and happy to chat. He spent over a year crafting his custom recipe for gluten free dough focusing on proper crust consistency and taste. The results are fantastic. I am not a celiac; I eat everything. Even still, I have had two different GF pizzas from Steve and they were better than 90% of all other pizza I've had. The crust is delicious, the toppings are plentiful, and the meal very filling. Good hot and cold. Steve has done a wonderful job paying attention to the best product he can make.
It's always a tough bet picking a random restaurant in a ubiquitous strip plaza. Finding one to meet dietary restrictions is hard enough to never bother trying. I will return to the Okemos Guido's anytime without hesitation.

Not only did their pizza taste like "normal" pizza but even compared to pizza with gluten, it is at the top of my list in texture and taste. I would choose their gluten-free pizza even if I had a choice.

The Pizza: Crispy, loaded, and delicious! All made fresh on premises, and Steve has celiac family members so he knows how careful we have to be. It is hard work finding and cooking good food for celiac loved ones--relax and take a pizza break; Steve has done all the work for you! Great pizza and great value, as it is very filling!

I too have to add my words of praise. This is the best gluten-free pizza crust. The pizza was loaded with toppings as well, perfect combination of toppings and tasty crust. Steve was a delight. I will also be testing his other menu items. And yes, my husband, who doesn't have to eat gluten-free also agrees with me on the tastiness. Please order from Steve/Guido's, we need to keep him in business.

My daughter has been searching for a decent gluten-free pizza since she was diagnosed 7 years ago. She finally found it here! My son and I (who are not celiac) couldn't believe how delicious it was as well. The breadsticks were awesome. Steve was very accommodating and knowledgeable!

It was so wonderful to be able to eat pizza at a restaurant with my family! The GF pizza was outstanding. I can't wait to try the pasta and breadsticks! This is really exciting. I would recomment the GF pizza to anyone - celiac or not!

I had awesome gluten free manicotti, served with breadsticks that were awesome, and another diner with celiac offered me a slice of her pizza. All was great, and I left stuffed and had tomorrow's lunch! I will be back alot!

I was diagnosed 7 years ago and have not had a decent pizza since. Guido's is the absolute best. Steve is very knowledgeable about the disease, and committed to ensuring a gluten-free environment. I was diagnosed celiac about 6 years ago. I have tried every kind of pizza, both store bought and homemade you can think of. Guidos GF pizza is the best pizza I have ever eaten. I would recommmend this to anyone!! Please go try this.

Awesomely fantastic experience eating my first Real gluten free pizza out since I was diagnosed a celiac 8 years ago. The pizza was a good size and I brought back a nice lunch the next day.
Garlic bread was superb as well with a good garlic dip.
My pizza had a hefty amount of toppings cooked perfectly.The crust was excellent and cooked to perfection, unlike the mushy frozen rice crusts on the market.
My girlfriend loved her individual non gluten pizza; and we shared the g/f bread, she said this was excellent as well.
I WHOLEHEARTEDLY recommend the trip to Guidos and feel I got a great value.
You will see me there Monday for the role out of the new grinders...

While we were enjoying our pizza 4 others came in and ate in or carried out g/f pizza as well. Nice to have kindred company while eating dinner.

After watching my husband suffer from the worst gluten attack I've seen in 10 years, I think it's hard to say that Guido's pizza truly is gluten free. It is made in a kitchen with other flour goods and cross contamination is always an issue. Until there is a separate location to make and eat their food, I think huge qualifications should be made. We have had other successful times there, but the risks now outweigh the benefits. Celiacs beware.

omg. this place has the best gluten free pizza that I have ever had. I have been all around the united states because of my job. I have seeked out a lot of gluten free places. I have tryed gluten free pizza from ny to az. and this place is the best that I have ever had. the pasta is like no other. Steve the owner has his heart in this he will talk about G.F. thourgh your dinner.I wish that we had more people like this around. Thank you steve.

Gluten free Pizza doesn't get any better than this! My wife who isn't Gluten intollerant said that this Pizza was as good as any mainstream Pizza she has had. It typically only takes less than a half hour to get. If you can wait to get it home fine, if not they have an area to dine in.
It is the Best!

Oh my! This place is amazing. We can now get fresh (not frozen) pizza for my GF teenager. And it's really, really good. Even reheated for lunch the next day (which is amazing for GF pizza). And the teenager only had pizza left because he also had a whole order of GF mozzarella bread sticks too! Steve, the owner is the best. Really knows his GF, very aware of cross-contamination, and still educating himself about GF. We are very blessed to be 5 minutes away from this place. YUM!

I was just diagnosed with Celiac Disease and was bummed about no more pizza in my life... I found this restaurant on the registry and decided to try it.. The Pizza was very, very good. Steve (the owner) spoke to me about his products and how he is very critical of cross contamination. He is a very knowledgable person, caring, and friendly. I enjoyed the pizza very much, ate it throughout the day and wanted to get another one the next day! He is coming out with pasta's and subs in March... Can't wait to try the new menu items too! Probably will get another pizza today!!!

Ate there the other day. Excellent pizza! Really the best GF pizza I've had. Takes about an hour to make with the prep time. The owner is very nice and seems genuinely concerned about cross-contamination. I highly recommend this place for pizza and hopefully soon for pasta as well!

First, the advertisement on the website does not show a gluten free pizza, it does not look like the pizza that they make. Very misleading. Second, two times now...TWO times, we have ordered a gluten free pizza with dairy free cheese and was given a gluten free pizza with regular mozzerella cheese. We happened to catch it before we took bites, and the owner offered to make us another. But we had to wait another half hour for it, and was not offered any discount or real apology for the major inconvenience and for nearly being made very sick. To advertise about being allergy friendly and then make the mistake twice shows neglect or poor execution, and either way, makes us fear a gluten free cross contamination neglect also. The first time we ate there the owner continually talked to us during our dine in experience about how thorough he was, even showing us how he wipes off plates. The next few times, the thoroughness was not practiced. I have little children we brought there who are very allergic, its not worth the risk of getting them sick after seeing it happen twice. One time shame on you, twice shame on me for returning. Will not be returning!

I had to wait an hour when I was told 40 minutes, and I got glutened. It happened to be the only thing I ate that day, so I know it was definitly the source, no question. The food is good, but not worth the risk of getting sick and having to listen to the owner brag constantly every time you go in about how he is the only place that has pizza, he isn't. I was very impressed the first time at the extent he went to, to show his seriousness about cross contamination. But a few times after that they were not that careful, it's too inconsistent to be safe.
