Update from last time... this is still my wifes favorite place to eat out GF. In the past couple of years we have had one instance of a non-GF bun on a to-go order, and two rock-hard GF buns, but all were taken care of in a very amenable way. We are ALL glad to eat there any chance we get.

This Red Robin is terrific! I don't eat burgers very often, obviously, because it's so hard to find a decent gluten free bun. The buns at Red Robin, however, aren't too bad--and they actually hold together pretty well! The wonderful, bottomless fries are GF, too. The waiters at this location are trained in serving people with gluten issues.

The burger was lovely -- served on a Udi's GF bun -- but the fries were cross-contaminated. Had a fairly serious reaction at the end after eating the fries.
Staff seems to only be partially trained and only partly aware of the risks. No allergy flag on the ticket nor any information on the risks. Be very careful at the Morgan Hill location.

(Brook Rd, Richmond VA) We've had good and bad experiences here. A few times we had to send a meal back because the kitchen staff didn't follow procedures. On the other hand, we've had a manager come out (without prompting) to talk to us about our needs and he even gave us a couple of their GF buns to take home, free of charge. I would ask for a manager to avoid risks.

The manager at this location made my experience here one of the best I have had eating out with a gluten allergy. They have a dedicated fryer for the fries and the manager even offered to fry their tortilla chips in that fryer so I could have chips and salsa. The manager also told me she would speak to the kitchen to make sure there was no cross contamination of my food. It was extremely helpful to have a manager that was knowledgeable about food allergies. Our waiter, on the other hand, really had no idea besides that they offered a gluten free bun, but it all worked out because the manager was so helpful. I highly recommend eating at this location!

So soft and delicious I called the manager back to ask if the bun was really GF; I have yet to experience anything that delicious in a GF bread category.
It cost $1 more to get the bun, but it was completely worth it!
I hope they roll these buns (pun intended) to the branches in my state too!

My cousin is also GF and we went here for lunch one day. The menu states that most items will probably come in contact with gluten any ways, in their defense, but we were sure we'd be safe with salads.
No such luck.
We were both sick for a few days and I'm guessing someone just plucked the croutons out of a pre-made salad for us. I went another time and got a bun-less burger and was sick then too. I won't be eating here anymore.

I was very surprised with Red Robin's accommodation today upon my requests. I first ordered one of their burgers "without the bun"--when the waitress asked me if I preferred it lettuce-wrapped, I replied that I just wanted it on a plate with the fixings. She had no problem with that and it came as requested.
I then asked whether their fries were GF. The waitress went to check, but the kitchen manager came out himself and asked about my concerns. He said that the fries are GF but the friers were not. He THEN offered to fry them in clean oil for me, but that it would take longer! Of course, I said yes :) I was so gracious and surprised! A+ Red Robin!

I really like Red Robin and I feel very safe there! The only bad thing is that there aren't many options..I always get grilled chicken (which is awesome!) but I wish I had more of a choice. I like to go but I don't go often because I get the same thing. But their chicken is very good! Great for kids too!

Red Robin is one of my favorite places to eat. I feel safe with their food. They print **Allergy Alert** on the order slip so the kitchen knows of your allergy. Sometimes, the manager even comes to the table to verify they have the order correct. Employees are allergy-knowledgeable and friendly, and they're more than happy to make substitutions to your order.
I ate at this Red Robin all the time before I was diagnosed so I am thrilled I can still eat my favorite foods. The manager was terrific and made sure my food was safe.

They brought out a special allergen menu, they listened, they reassured, they really seemed to know what they doing. Unfortunately before I even left the restaurant I was having symptoms of having eaten gluten. I do not recommend risking eating at Red Robin, there is just too much chance for cross contamination in a restaurant like this one.

I was never a huge fan of Red Robin before my diagnosis, but now I love it. One of the few places I don't have to worry.
Manager came out and talked about GF items. They cooked my french fries in a separate pot of oil (b/c they filter and reuse their oil). Food was served on a special colored plate to keep anyone from accidentally seasoning it. Manager brought it out himself.
So happy I don't have to give up french fries!
We haven't gone back. We ate here when they had the gluten-free information on the site. When we sat down and mentioned being gluten-free the server looked at us like we were from another planet. After choosing naturally GF items a side salad came out with a bread stick stuck in it. Also there are no GF kid options. We were charged full price for an altered adult meal that our daughter could eat.
Overall we weren't impressed at all.

I am disspointed in our Red Robin. I ordered GF, and almost every time we go there I get glutened. I'm not sure why, I've talked to the mngr and he stated that maybe the 'protocol' wasn't followed. I did notice that last time when I did not eat the fries that I didn't get 'glutened' as bad. The issue may be that they have multiple servers assisting instead of one dedicated server.

We are in the area visiting family and visited the Silverdale,WA location. I was a little bit concerned as they have a disclaimer with their GF menu about the possibility of contamination, but the wait staff was very helpful and made sure it was prepared correctly.I tried their bacon burger without seasonings in a lettuce wedge and also had french fries for the first time in ages! I did not have any reactions and they do have a dedicated fryer for the fries. I would recommed this location to anyone and would make sure to let them know you are GF.
We split the Royal Red Robin Burger, which was delicious. They served it wrapped in lettuce and paper around the lettuce so you could easily hold it to eat it. The manager even came over to tell us that the cooks changed the gloves and went to insane lengths to make sure there was no cross contamination. This was much appreciated of course but a little surprising. :)

I go to Red Robin in Parker every chance I get. Every time I mention Celiac/gluten intolerance, the manager comes out and handles things himself. He always makes sure everything is gluten free.

4 of us went for dinner-my 2 sons father and I very limited GF.DONT use the fryers resterants are under the impresion that since it hot oil its ok to say that it is GF safe!our table was sticky- and we were seated across from the take out station even though the place was almost emty.my kids could also hear the staff curse in the kitchen.come to find ou it was the workers table we were seated at.My kids say NEVER again! same here

It's nice to have fries from a dedicated fryer.
We have eaten here quite a bit (both at the michigan road location and and the one in Noblesville) with mixed results. About half the time i am fine and about half the time i get really sick.
I think the kitchen is fine - it seems to be more the wait staff that is the problem. If we go during slow times and get certain waitstaff i'm fine, but if we go at a busy time and someone besides our waitress brings out the food, they almost always have no clue about anything on the allergen menu or why touching someone else's sandwich and then serving me my food could be a problem.
We have temporarily stopped eating here until i feel brave enough to try them again. I really like the burger with the egg on it and would very much like to go back at some point, but only if i feel safe.
They did an excellent job! The waitress was well informed. They brought our meals out on separate trays. The waitress informed me that they have separate fryers for their french fries. The food was great too!

Today I met my parents at the Plymouth, MN location. I had called the store earlier, asking about the fries and the manager said that while the vat is used only for fries, the oil, when filtered, is mixed with other vats, and so he couldn't guarantee it to be gluten-free. BUT he did offer to heat up oil in a separate pan and make my dad as separate batch of fries. We came in, and three separate people made sure we had the most up-to-date GF menu. The manager then came over and again offered to make my dad's fries separately, and we took him up on the offer. He said it would maybe take 5 extra minutes, but we didn't even notice the wait.
The food was great, and the service outstanding. Both the manager and our server were very knowledgeable about the GF menu, and what you could have on it.
We will definitely return again and again!

Ecstatic that they have a GF menu. Manager was super helpful and understanding, I had a lettuce wrapped burger and fries w/o seasoning. He was very aware of cross-contamination during food prep too.

It is really nice to have a burger place that serves gluten free options! at my location in Omaha, they have a dedicated fryer just for gluten free fries and they always make sure the order gets marked as gluten allergy. I've never had a problem with contamination and I am pretty sensitive to it. :) Just wish they had a few more options for gluten free, because I get tired of the same old dishes.
This Red Robin is Great! Nine times out of ten the manager handles ordering for us, and we ALWAYS have special attention to make sure our food is safe and we're aware of what is available to my wife and daughter. We eat here fairly often and we all enjoy it every time.

We ate at the East Springs Dr. Red Robin tonight and the experience was a pleasure. My hamburger was served to me on a bun by mistake but when I called them on it, it was immediately removed and recooked. Both the waitress and the restaurant manager stopped by to apologize for the mistake and the manager removed my meal from our bill. Excellent customer service in my opinion and the food was delicious.

There has only been one other restaurant that I have been to since I was diagnosed 3 weeks ago and I just picked things I thought would be safe. Going to a restaurant that had an actual printed Gluten-Free menu was a GODSEND!!!! When I walked in and explained that I read that they had a gluten free option, the staff at the front was very welcoming and didn't make me feel like a freak. The waiter (Darius) was helpful and gracious! I have always eaten here anyway, but the fact that they have this option thrills me. Try the Bruscetta Chicken over rice. It's a welcome alternative to the lettuce thing. I can't stand the idea of being "South Beached". It was nice to feel normal for dinner. Go Red Robin!!!!

I eat at the Woodinville, WA and the Roseburg OR locations quite frequently. I always order the California chicken burger in lettuce with fries. I had a reaction once, but have figured that it is from the cheese they use. It doesn't agree with me. So now I order it without cheese or sauces. It has always been moist chicken and very delicious and the Fries are fresh and hot. You do have to make sure they do not put seasoning on them. I have had that happen once too. I could tell and they brought out new ones. All in all, it is a great place to go when traveling.

Orders are tagged as "allergy" and are prepared separately then delivered to the table by a manager. There is a dedicated fryer for french fries. Sandwiches are surrounded by lettuce and paper-wrapped so they can be eaten by hand. Love this place!

I do not recommend the Exton Red Robin. I asked for Gluten free and the wrap had BBQ sauce which contained gluten as did the wrap they prepared it with. Also the cantalope they gave me in replace of fries had MOLD around the edge. Never Again!!

I called before I visited our local Red Robin to be sure they had a Gluten Free Menu, they did. I arrived and we were seated. I asked my server for a Gfree menu and he said sure and went to get me one. He came back and said they were out but a manager was printing me one. He brought it to my table and made sure I had no questions. I ordered their Royal Robin Burger (minus the bun of course) and had them do a lettuce wrap instead. I got "plain" fries. It was all WONDERFUL! It was very tasty and filled me up. I would have been happy with only a couple pieces of lettuce for my lettuce wrap, not 1/2 a head of lettuce, but that was an easy fix that I did at the table. Our waiter was awesome and made sure I was taken care of and had no issues. I noticed "ALLERGY ALERT" was on our ticket which made me feel warm and fuzzy. I had no ill effects from any of my food.

This location does not do gluten free anymore.
I eat here about once or twice a month, and as long as you order from the GF menu AND make sure your server is aware that they need to put allergy alert on your order, it should be fine. Once in a while, you get a server who seems to think you're more of a pain to them or they don't seem to understand how important it is that the food is prepared right, but I've never been sick from their food, so it seems that they are handling it right. Frankly, the first time I had one of their burgers with the lettuce wrap in place of the bun, I've never wanted to go back.

I have had MANY issues with this location. I have been told they maintain a fryer free of anything other than fries for their Celiac customers. The 3 times I have given this location a chance I have been told the fryer was contaminated from frying breaded chicken. They have several fryers and there is even separation from the others. Would think they could at least do this consistently. We no longer go to any Red Robin location.

I love eating at Red Robin, it makes me feel "normal" as I call it... I think it is great how they are willing to do what they need to make sure my food is safe... I have had a few errors (brining my food with a bun) however they always go back and correct it with a smile. I have began to get the California Chicken with a slice of Pineapple and lettuce wrap... YUMMY
I would truly recommend to eat there... they are one of the best place - may be slow but they work hard to make sure your safe.

Great Experience! When I asked if they had a Gluten free menu they said yes and got one for me. I was worried they wouldn't even know what I was talking about but I was very wrong! I had several staff come up to me and assured me the manager would fix my meal, that they take this very serious. I felt very confident and could relax and enjoy my outing with my hubby. The staff and meal was fantastic (I had grilled chicken, steamed veggies and a salad) and we really has a great time!

I contacted the manager to ask about a GF menu. He told me this location does not have a dedicated fryer for their French Fries. They do the onion rings in the same oil so the fries are not GF. Basically, they can give you a burger without the bun but that's about it.
Had a wonderful burger wrapped in lettuce. The fries were fried in a dedicated fryer and are probably the best I have ever had! Great experience and will be going back again!

For Longmont, CO, this is a great place for GF as this particular location has a DEDICATED GF FRYER! WOW! French Fries, again!
The only disappointment is that they do NOT stock GF bread/buns on site (bring your own). SOMEDAY, I would like to see these "GF" restaurants REALLY step up to the plate and stock GF breads FROZEN until needed. I would DEFINITELY be willing to PAY EXTRA (up to $2) for the GF bread!!!
A local GF chef has tried to get her breads/buns into some local restaurants, but they ALL said that there is "no call" for such items! She even offered to put them there on consignment (no $ up front until they are sold/eaten)--they STILL said NO!! BullSh__! We ALL are going in and telling them that we want this, but they refuse to listen, OR they do not have the authority to order/buy such things locally (if a franchise)!
Restaurant owners: take an informal survey of your GF patrons when they order--ASK them if they would be willing to pay extra $ for frozen GF bread that is re-heated. I dare you!
Eating a hamburger is NO FUN without the BUN!!! I realize that nationwide franchises might be reluctant to mandate such an order for ALL locations, but at least give your LOCAL franchises the authority and power to order and keep LOCAL GF breads/buns on site frozen for added cost.
Interestingly, the research shows that restaurants who offer REAL GF menus (NOT just salads or dry, steamed foods), are INCREASING their sales!!! In today's economy, THAT should be enough to get a restaurant on the bandwagon...but no...not even to try it "on consignment" is a real head-knocker!
Anyway, Red Robin goes so much farther than most restaurants with catering to GF people. The Red Robin in Boulder, CO does not have a dedicated GF fryer, but they will CHEERFULLY pan-fry or cook items just for you!

I highly recommend the Red Robin in Snellville (Lawrenceville). The manager, server, and the cook that worked on my order made me feel totally at ease, my food came out perfect, I did not get sick, and it was an easy dining out experience. Anyone with gluten problems knows that dining out is typically never enjoyable, but this location was awesome. The staff was very informed about the gluten free menu, brought me out ingredient cards for me to look at and was so professional and made teh entire process easy and enjoyable.
Definitely check this place out! :)

Anything fried is difficult for GF living, but this place makes it so easy and delicious! My daughter is five and has Celiac Disease, and we eat out here often. The staff is knowledgable and very friendly, and they really do take every precaution to assure their customers the food they receive is not contaminated in any way.

I just discovered your list. My grandson was diagnosed with Celiac Disease a week ago.
Please add Red Robin to your list as well. They are at Crossroads right near Golden Corall.
I ate there alone last week and asked about gluten free since I saw so many children there. The manager and the server, both knowledgeable about allergy problems, spent quite a bit of time showing me their 4-page handout of slight alterations to make nearly all their menu items gluten free, as well as their red flashing "allergy alert!" notice that goes to the kitchen when any food is ordered for someone with allergies. They had a separate area for preparing gluten free menu items, and they took me on a tour of the kitchen to see that fries and their oil are always kept separate. Gluten free fries are not seasoned at all. I was impressed with their concern and thoroughness. The manager said that if I would call ahead before coming, she would get gluten free mac and cheese for my grandson.
