KD's Fish Fry may very well be the best celiac-friendly restaurant I've ever experienced. It's not so difficult for a restaurant to stock some gluten-free pasta and say they have GF choices on the menu, but KD's makes the stuff that's hard to get, like battered fish, chicken and other treats. I LOVE eating there. I don't generally eat a lot of fried foods, but when I do make an exception, KD's is the place to do it. They also serve a HUGE assortemnt of breads, cakes, cookies and other baked goods that are consistently wonderful. Sometimes you find a GF restaurant that you support just because it's nice to have a GF option, but my family enjoys eating there too, and they can eat anywhere. Everything at KD's is fresh and flavorful, baked goods have a great texture (not the gummy, leaden GF stuff you generally have to make do with)and their prices are competitive with non-GF restaurants. If there was a treasure map of the Saratoga area, KD's would be the X on the map!

The food is great, the fish is fresh, and the staff accommodating. It is accommodating to more than just gluten allergy.... And it is delicious for the non allergy person.

Today I had the best lunch I've had in 14 years! The gluten free clams and onion rings were delicious and something I've missed since being diagnosed! I wanted to order one of every thing -I seldom over eat but today I was like a kid in a candy shop! JUST GO - KD'S FISH FRY IS GREAT!

I would like to add to the comments for KD's fish fry,it's wonderful! The fish and seafood is always fresh and delicious. The french fries are fresh cut. And it's gluten free! Too good to be true but it is the best Fish fry this side of the Mississippi!

I have been gluten free for about 5 years and have certainly missed some foods I used to enjoy. Dawn from KD's has found a way of providing these! KD's is much more than a fish fry. She provides things like jalapeno poppers, deep fried mushrooms and provolone sticks! Some of my favorite treats that I had not had in years. Of course there are many other items on the menu available with gluten free buns that are delicious. Desserts as well!! I eat there about once a week and Dawn continues to expand her gluten free options. Dawn also understands the importance of cross contamination..so I never have to worry. Always enjoyable meal!!

As a recently diagnosed celiac I was so excited to hear about KD's. My husband heard about the gluten free menu they offer so I couldnt wait to try it.I was pleasantly surprised!! The food is great -and they have a wonderful selection! They also offer yummy deserts, breads and frozen take home meals. The prices are great and the people who work there are so pleasant. It was a great experience and I cant wait to go back!! Thank you KD for making my transition into the celiac world alot easier!

Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! I've had the pleasure of KD's a few times now. And the food is always fantastic! The fish fry was WONDERFUL as were the onion rings and chicken tenders. Great price, great food, great service!
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone on a gluten-free/allergen-diet.

Great seafood is only part of it. They have great frozen take out meals - eggplant, chicken dishes to name a few. Delicious cookies, breads and cupcakes. The clam chowder is worth going out of the way for and the coconut shrimp with mango sauce is a unique treat. I do not have any specific allergies but I enjoy going here anyway. My chiropractic office recommends minimizing gluten and dairy in our diets, and I do have to say I feel better when I do. Don't let the casual atmosphere fool you - the food is a delicious treat. And I can tell that they work hard to keep the prices competitive.

My husband and I found KD's Fish Fry today through googling. What a treat to find the place is just around the corner from us. The foods are wonderful and the atmosphere is very nice. We definitely will be regulars at KD's, now that we know of the place. People without food allergies could not possibly understand the enormity of joy we who do have in our hearts when we find such a restaurant. Thank you for being there, Dawn! I was recently diagnosed, after a long time not knowing, with Celiac, so I am new to this whole ‘community’ of people with food allergies. I have found it VERY hard to find places to eat. My mother in law was a regular customer to KD’s Fish Fry, and gave me the KD’s Allergen free menu, and I about flipped, no lie. I couldn’t believe that after seeing the list of things that I couldn’t eat, I was now looking at a list of foods I COULD eat…almost all of which were homemade by a women who knows first hand about how important the food preparation process was. I have now become a regular, going in at least once or twice a week, as I am lucky enough to live close by! I buy her take home dinners; I buy my cookies and cupcakes there, Dawn’s cinnamon buns are to DIE for. As far as the actual KD’s Restaurant menu goes, I would try Everything you can! The food is DELICIOUS. I do not exaggerate. You can rest assure that you will get MORE then what you pay for. The amount of food you get is more then enough, you will have enough to share or bring some home, and the girl that was behind that served me, she is such a charming girl, very polite and pleasant to talk with.

It's true, you can now have your cake AND eat it too! KDFISHFRY has the best allergy free food you
can feed to your family.
My husband and I, and our 2 sons all have food allergies. soy,wheat, peanuts, corn,pecans,dairy etc. Finding a place to eat that recognizes the importance of keeping food safe is truly extraordinary. KDFISHFRY and Dawns line of allergy free foods is a miracle to find and a must to keep! Go for a fishfry,or scallops, (allergy free, dedicated fryer)
and dessert. My fav. the chocomint bar...mmmmgreat. My sons fav; her freihofer rivalling chocolate chip cookie. (Evan says Dawns are better!) We are fortunate to have someone so dedicated to providing great tasting, affordable, safe to eat food! did ya ever think it could be so? Try it,you'll like it!

KD's is a cute little Mom & Pop type restaurant with gluten free food that is just amazing. My daughter and I had the fish fry and nearly cried...hadn't had delicious fried fish in years! We topped it off with Dawn's carrot cake...that's when my daughter nearly cried. You simply have to try KD's!

I have been taking my gluten/casein free twins to KD's for a long time, ever since I found out about their gluten free menu offerings. Since then, one of the partners (Dawn) has launched an allergen free line of frozen foods and baked goods that are equal to many of the restaurants in the Saratoga Springs region. She developed fried chicken that is gluten free and which my daughter has pronounced "Better than KFC!". Dawn's genuine concern for feeding people with various food allergies led her to developing and patenting a butter substitute that is soy free, something that is not available. I have baked with this product and produced some really tasty foods. The big test was this summer, with corn on the cob, and her vegan butter substitute passed the "twin test" superbly! I highly recommend you visit KD's -- help us keep this hidden gem in our community! :-)
